THE Mini-ProBE CONCEPT

Typically, arrangements for Mini-ProBE are made by the host licensing board or other agency offering the session for their membership. The associated costs for faculty travel, honoraria, and other expenses of operations are negotiated.

Teaching Materials -- the original ProBE Program syllabus with reprints and the individualized problem-based “ Respondent Role” script.

The “Respondent Role” script

  • Redacted and disguised case from ProBE files.
  • Summary of Board findings, consent order.
  • Respondent defense and explanation.
  • Background information.
  • Board participant’s imagination and commitment to stay “in character.”

Arrangements are flexible to educational needs and licensing board constraints and preferences.

  • Cost – adaptable : based on time, locale, and number of participants.
  • Time – Typically, Friday evening and Saturday but may also be one day.
  • Locale – local board venue, or part of a regional retreat.
  • Participants – 15-20 individuals.
  • Continuing Education applicable.

Social events include Saturday luncheon, refreshments breaks, and Saturday evening reception (attendees may bring a guest).
